About Barbados

Barbados Island is an autonomous nation found in Lesser Antilles territory. It measures 34 km lengthwise and 23 km wide, also covering a total landmass of roughly 431 kilometers square. This islet is situated to the northeast territory of Venezuela, plus many people call it the Caribbean’s Britain for its extensive links with UK. This region has experienced numerous waves of permanent human habitation throughout the years. The initial migration was by Saladoid-Barrancod tribe consisting of farmers, ceramists and fishermen. They arrived by boat from Orinoco Valley at 350 AD, later on, Arawak people came in from the eastern parts of South America and then followed by European settlers hundreds of years later. Visitors can enjoy cheap flights to Barbados by travelling light so as to avoid airport cargo charges.

The driving rule is ‘keep left’ when using a private rental cab, also check speed limits while using the highways for both legal and safety purposes. You don’t want to be caught on the wrong side of law in foreign country. There’s only one airport in this region which provides cheap flights to Barbados. Most drivers would stop a coach for you to hop in city, especially when they see that you’re new to the nation. This gesture shows the warm, loving and welcoming nature of local people. With such special treatment, tourists would immediately feel like they’re at home and this would further boost their confidence.

Bus services are operated by BTB and all their coaches are marked by a blue line, these public carrier vehicles are quiet and decent thus suitable for older people. Nevertheless, private commercial buses are also available though they have yellow instead of blue identification line. There aren't much rules governing the operations of privately owned passenger vehicles, in fact you can catch some of them playing loud music in the absence of traffic police. The yellow coaches are very flexible in terms of payment and even accept American dollars. Nevertheless, the BTB coaches only accept local currency, and don’t recommend those who board with big notes requiring small change afterwards. The deluxe hotels in Barbados are extremely comfortable and suitable for perfect holiday experiences.
