About Phetchabun

Phetchabun is the capital of the Phetchabun Province in Thailand. It belongs to the district of Nai Mueang that lies on the banks of the Pa Sak River. The town is of great historical significance, having been established by the two great ancient kingdoms of Sukhothai and the Narai during the once-flourishing Ayutthaya Period. The name Phetchabun means abundant harvests. The capital town boasts of rich natural resources and very fertile grounds. The Pa Sak River traversing the entire stretch of Phetchabun eastern side makes the capital town a scenic wonder. The main avenue cutting through Phetchabun is Route 21 that runs from Lom Sak in the town’s northern end, passes through Phetchabun, and ends in Chai Badan and Saraburi.
