The aromatic pine forest of the region is one of the main attractions for which many tourists take cheap flights to Marinha Grande. Walkers can take a stroll on the way-marked path and later camp at any of the several campsites there. Between Sao Pedro de Moel and Marinha Grande, there is a beautiful cycle route. The forest stretches for about 10,000 meters. This pine enclosure was provided by King Dinis I. The first pine tree was planted by Dom Afonso III during 13th century. Later on, Dinis gave it the final shape and expanded it to supply timber.

The Royal Glass Factory makes Marinha Grande completely different from other Portuguese destinations. The glass factory was inaugurated in 1748 by an English gentleman named John Beare. The state took over the handling and management of the Royal Glass Factory during the 19th century’s first half. However, before that, William Stephens had bought the factory. His former palatial home has now been turned into the Museum of Vidro da Marinha Grande which contains collections of glassware from the period 17th to 20th centuries. Tours are arranged for tourists around the glass museum and glass works.
The Milagres Church is located near Marinha Grande. The fame and popularity of the church stem from the ajulejo tiles which adorn the church. The tiles depict the miraculous story of a farmer’s recovery from paralysis.
