About Kuwait

Kuwait is an Arabic nation found in Middle East region. It shares a boundary with Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Arabian Gulf. The country has been a major exporter of cultured pearls and oil which bring in lots of foreign revenue. Aside from that, Kuwait has numerous tourist attractions that are open to all people irrespective of age, gender, social status or religion. The capital is known as Kuwait City and is surrounded by other cities such as Ahmadi, Jahrah and Hawalli which are all less than 30 min drive when using the road. The name ‘Kuwait’ is borrowed from Arabic word Koot which literally means fortress. Boarding cheap flights to Kuwait is the key to exploring this beautiful country.

Historical records show that native citizens can trace their origins to the Al-Utubya and Al-Aniza tribes which migrated here thousands of years ago. Other smaller communities came from modern day Iraq and Iran. The landscape is quite dry and experiences regular seasonal changes of hot summers and chilly winters. Travelers from 35 select countries are entitled to visas upon arrival at Kuwait International Airport.

Cheap flights to Kuwait are available for those travelling with KWI International Airport. This is the only run-way and receives planes from all over the world. Way back in 2005 the state licensed two new companies in line with their militarization program. These are Wataniya & Jazeera Airways even though the first one recently closed business.

Most people speak Arabic and it’s also the language taught in schools, English is also common though the locals prefer using it in official contexts only. There are many ideal holiday spots around the country where visitors can have some good time. Failaka Island is an ancient port with several traditional dhows used by natives for transportation. Visitors can reach the place by using standard ferry services; tickets are available from Ras Ardh center or Marina Mall. The place also has archaeological relics from Bronze Age, including treasures from Greek civilization.

Liquor consumption is highly restricted in public places, though in private places the restraint doesn’t apply. Most hotels in Kuwait can be booked online, however there are many mosques in the land that publicly announce morning prayers at 4 and 5 AM. This may be quite disturbing for light sleepers. They should carry some ear plugs to keep off the noise.
