In spite of everything that Egypt is going through, the country is relatively peaceful nowadays and the government is trying very hard to attract many foreigners to their land. If you look at the brighter side, this means that almost everything here now is cheaper. You can now visit smaller towns and cities if you want to immerse in authentic Egyptian culture like that of Tala.
Not a lot of people visit this area since it is primarily an agricultural land. But if you do find yourself here, don’t fret, a lot of the world-famous tourist destinations are quite close.
If you go south towards Cairo, then you will see some of the most amazing structures that Egypt is very proud of. Once you hear the Nile Delta, you know that you are pretty close to several pyramids and ancient cities in ruins. Go further down and you’ll see the El-Fayoum Oasis, the Lake Qaron and the Ptolemic temples in the area. If you go up north, then you’re on your way to some of the most beautiful Egyptian beaches which face the Mediterranean.
There are several hotels in Tala which you can stay in for a night. These are pretty low priced too. However, a lot of tourists don’t really stay here overnight since it is merely part of the route from the capital city up to the Mediterranean.
You can get cheap flights to Tala from anywhere in the world via the Cairo International Airport. This is a little over a hundred kilometers away which translates to about 4 hours travel time. There are buses which travel straight to Tala at certain times but it is better to hire your own vehicle for comfort and convenience.
