Visiting II Cimitero delle Fontanelle is a visit to learn about the death traditions of Naples. While fascinating, they're also downright creepy. Did you know that it's tradition for Neapolitans to adopt a skull and then bring the skull gifts? This was traditionally believed to provide protection properties and give luck and special favors to those who care for the skulls. If you enjoy things like Dios De Los Muertos and want to see a fascinating cemetery and 'worship place' of skulls, than come to Cimitero delle Fontanelle. While the Church is openly against this practice, it's still being widely practiced. If you come to visit, you'll see that some of the skulls are being taken care of. Tip: This is a great place to go if you're on a budget, as entrance is free. We also have great deals for European destinations like cheap flights to Graz
