The city’s natural tourist attractions include the Sagay Marine Reserve and Carbin Reef, Cabiao Cave, Himoga-an River Cruise, and the Talithi Falls. The Sagay Marine Reserve is home of coral reefs and a marine habitat. Carbin Reef is a protected marine sanctuary, where visitors can swim and snorkel to their hearts’ content. A floating raft ride at the Himoga-an river is an exciting experience that tourists should not miss. Aside from the Carbin Reef, there is also the Makahulom Reef. The Molocaboc Island and Mangrove Wildlife are the other interesting places to visit. There are historical and religious sites as well, and relics of special interests like an Old Steam Engine Train and the ILCO Train on display at the city’s Public Plaza.
Tourists can schedule their arrivals so they can witness and participate in festivals held at different times of the year. While in the city, they can gorge on sea foods and sample native cuisine like the famous Chicken Inasal, a local version of roast chicken on skewers.
Sagay City can be reached by ship/ferry or plane through Bacolod City, or by ferry from Toledo City in the neighboring island of Cebu.
