Mauritius is a small Island on the Indian Ocean, East of Madagascar. It was named after the Prince of Holland, Mauritiz de Nassau and has a mild past but interesting. It was a Dutch colony, later invaded by the French and Britons. The Island covers an area of about 2,040 square kilometers and has a population of about 1.2 Million. Among the languages used include English, French, Urdu, Hakka and Hindi. On the other hand, the religion is considerably mixed, Hindu having the highest percentage followed by Christianity and Islam respectively.
