Air Canada has recently announced a revised policy that provides refunds to customers with non-refundable fares whose flights were cancelled or who voluntarily cancelled their travel due to COVID-19 since February 2020.

Air Canada is offering a refund option to all eligible customers with tickets for travel dates on or after February 1, 2020 and who purchased before April 13, 2021.
Refunds are available for customers whose flight was cancelled by Air Canada or who voluntarily cancelled their flight for any reason.
Refunds are also available to customers who have previously exchanged their cancelled flight for an Air Canada Travel Voucher, Aeroplan Miles, or a new flight reservation before April 13, 2021.
Please note that in the case where your reservation consists of a combination of one or more tickets from different airlines, the refund under Air Canada’s goodwill policy will only be applicable to the Air Canada ticket(s) of your reservation.
The amount that will be refunded to you will be determined based on Air Canada’s Refund and Cancellation Policy and will depend on the reason for cancellation:

After you have submitted your request using this page, we will send you a “Refund Request Confirmation” email to confirm your eligibility for a refund, informing you of the amount to be refunded and provide additional information.
Once you receive the “Refund Request Confirmation” email, you will be required to confirm that you want to proceed with the refund request, at which point we will finalize the request on your behalf.
