If you are interested in knowing some of the rich culture and history of China, you have to visit Zhongshan. This prefectural level city is located at the southern part of the Guangdong Province. If you plan to visit here, you will be interacting with Han people speaking the Cantonese language. The city is known as Xiangshan before the present name today. The name Zhongshan was used in honored to Dr. Sun Yat-sen who is the founding father of the Republic of China and was also known as Sun Zhongshan. The city lies to the southern part of the Pearl River, particularly the delta and it is directly opposite of Hong Kong and Shenzhen. The climate here is humid and warm all year round.

If you prefer the Guangdong Baiyun International Airport, you can take shuttle buses, Guangdong regular buses and train to get to Zhongshan.
