Cheap Flights to Xian

Xian is a city situated in the central and northwestern part of China. This city holds the records of excellent transformations of the region. In the ancient times, the city was once called Chang'an which means “Eternal city”. In fact, this city is the place wherein Chinese civilization started along the Yellow River Basin.

Xi An is also situated at the eastern end side of the Silk Road. This is also the site for the Terracotta Warriors of one of China’s dynasty, the Qin Dynasty. Therefore, as tourists and visitors, you will surely get marveled at the centuries old cultural relics and historical sites found all over the city. Aside from that, Xi An leads the pack of the Western Development Drive Program of China that started in the 1990s. This makes Xian another significant hub for education, economic progress and industrial growth.

Being known for world-class prehistoric, cultural, religious and even natural attractions, Xi An offers visitors with interesting places such as the Ancient City Wall, Terracotta Warriors and Horses, Small Wild Goose Pagoda, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Mount Hua, Shaanxi Provincial Museum, Huaqing Hot Springs, Forest of Steles , Banpo Museum, Qianling Mausoleum and The Great Mosque.

One of the activities you will enjoy here is biking. Through this biking activity, you can tour the city while you leisurely experience the traditions and customs of the locals and the place itself. You do not have to go far to see historic and significant place in Xi An.

Of course, there are some places that you cannot visit using bike and you have to use public transportation such as taxis and the public bus. You can also hire private vehicles. There is also a subway/train line here. However, it is not encouraged that you take or hire a taxi coming from the airport or even from the train stations because of the expensive fare.

In this case, it is better to take the public bus from these transportation spots. You can also arrange for a free pick-up from your chosen hostel. The same is true when you want to get around – use the bus. It is also recommended to do the touring on your own instead of getting the group tour packages because they are limited and you will not be able to see all of the tourist spots here. If you want to get cheap yet good food, it is recommended that you dine at the Muslim quarter. Hostels near stations are cheaper and you can consider them.
