Cheap Flights to Vose

Vose district in the Khatlon province of the mountainous country of Tajikistan is not serviced by any airport so visitors cannot get in cheap flights to Vose. The capital city of Dushanbe is 231 kilometers away, about 4-hour drive. There are no known hotels in Vose although some kind of accommodation may be found in the city and the surrounding towns and villages. Sleeping options include guesthouses, family homes or home stays. Visitors can expect reasonably clean rooms and nice local food, although running water and an outside toilet would be difficult to find. Visitors however will be warmly welcomed which will compensate somewhat for the lack of basic facilities.

There is a concerted effort to develop tourism in the country, and visas are easy to obtain for visitors. Visas may be obtained in Tajikistan embassies or purchased at Dushanbe airport upon arrival. Travel between major cities is by scheduled minivans, but visitors traveling to Vose will have to hire a vehicle or share a ride with other passengers. Prices are charged per person, depending on the number of passengers. Passengers may haggle with the prices and save money, but must ensure that the vehicle is road worthy for the long travel to Vose.

Khatlon province and Vose will not appear in any travel destination lists, but the surrounding mountains are magnificent and wonderful to behold. In fact, the main interests of tourists will be the demanding journeys from one place to another with beautiful sceneries along the way. The more adventurous will find that traversing the wild terrain and remote areas by SUVs, motorcycles and cycles are specially challenging. There are also numerous trekking routes in the mountains within easy reach with plenty of options for visitors.

Khatlon province is located in the southwestern region of Tajikistan and while the country is generally safe, visitors should be aware of the security situation and not take unnecessary risks. Visitors should not expect the usual amenities and facilities associated with more developed places.
