The valley is located in the center of Anguilla, which is a British Territory with a short period of dry season. The districts in the city have wooden houses inhabited by the Carib people who came from South America. The English colonized the Island and became one of its overseas territory .The town serves as capital of Anguilla.
With sunny weather all year round and the oceans, the valley is a favorite hub for water sports like scuba diving, snorkeling, and shipwreck diving. The town has good climate all year round except during the months of October when it is experiencing hurricane season. Divers would enjoy the ocean and diving spots near the city.

There is an alternative airport serving international airlines with cheap flights to The Valley from Grand case, and Saint Martin. L'Esperance Airport is only 27 km from The Valley.
Fishing is the major industry in the city and it has abundance supply of seafood. You can find lots of restaurants in the city serving lobsters and other seafood dishes. You will be surprised to find how delicious those lobsters are even they’re just cooked in the most simple way. You’ll fall in love with Lobster’s quesadilla which is the most popular lobster dish in the city. There are also seafood burritos and fish quesadilla and all are mouth-watering as well as filling. If you want cheap but delicious lobster quesadilla, go where the locals eat. Lobster quesadilla’s plate here is usually priced at $12.
The Valley like other cities in Anguilla is keen on making it as a tourist destination and with its long fine weather and welcoming people, it will not take it long to have it listed as one of the island’s tourists’ hub.
