Beautiful azulejos adorn the church’s walls and local pink marble consists of the pulpit. There is a beautiful gilded triumphal arch in the church’s choir which was built during the 18th century, adorned with Manueline motives. There is also a marble form of Madonna of the Castle standing on a huge shell in a niche on the choir’s left side. The statue is polychrome and gilded.
