About Sant Marti

Sant Marti is a district in Barcelona and it’s famous for its beaches and malls. It’s a residential area and tourists mostly come here to get a feel of the local life of Spain. There is no airport in this area but you can reach the district by taking a flight to Barcelona. Once you land at the Barcelona El Prat Airport, take a cab to reach your destination. The most famous park in Sant Marti is Parc Diagonal Mar. It’s an urban park and the total area is 14 hectares. There are seven different areas inside the park for people belonging to different age groups. The park is very well planned, having a central plaza, separate playing area for children and a beautiful lake where you can sit and talk with your friends, lover or just anyone.

One of the landmark buildings of this area is Torre Agbar. It’s mainly an office tower, but what gets people’s attention is its shape that looks like the nose of a rocket. If you are present in the city during weekend, visit Torre Agbar at night. The building is lighted in several colors on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Tourists coming from overseas via cheap flights to Sant Marti, having interest in history and culture, can visit El Museu Blau. The museum is not very large but the exhibits are worth seeing.
