Cheap Flights to San Pedro, San Jose

If you consider visiting Costa Rica, take a few days to visit some other places aside from its capital city of San Jose. If you have the time, take time to explore the beautiful town of San Pedro. This town is part of Montes de Oca canton (county) of the San Jose Province and is relatively close to San Jose City. This town is the home of the University of Costa Rica and there are other higher learning educational institution making San Pedro their home. Being close to San Jose, San Pedro is regarded as part of the metropolitan area of the city.

Knowing that this town is close to San Jose your main point of entry as a foreign tourist is the airport near it. This airport is the Juan Santamaria International Airport, which is located 20 kilometers from the downtown San Jose, in Alajuela. You can easily find cheap flights to San Pedro via this airport. From the airport, you can just walk outside and take the bus that will go to and from San Pedro/San Jose. Your other options of getting into the town from the airport are the shuttle services from the airport or the taxis. The town is small and hence, you can walk around in order to get around the town. However, if you are planning to tour San Jose from San Pedro, you can use the local taxis and they are affordable. However, make sure that you will agree to the price/fare before going there.
