South West Quebec is an interesting area to visit as it has a lot of interesting history and wonderful scenery. Cheap flights to Sainte-Hyacinthe are excellent value and the city makes a great base for seeing the surrounding area. This is a city east of Montreal and traversed by the Yamaska River.
In Sainte-Hyacinthe the Jardin Daniel A.Seguin is a popular attraction of 16 gardens with beautiful displays. Each has a theme and this is the largest of its kind in Quebec with many visitors during the summer. Nearby an Owl Reserve is an excellent attraction for families and a wonderful chance to get up close to these birds of prey. There are cultural attractions here too and one of the religious highlights of a visit to Sainte-Hyacinthe is The Museum Centre Élisabeth Bergeron which tells the history of the founder of the sisters of St Joseph of Sainte-Hyacinthe.
