There are so many places to visit in the People’s Republic of China and if you choose to tour the Hebei province, visit Qinhuangdao. This prefectural level city is located at the northeastern part of the province. The city lies along the northwestern coastal part of the Bohai Sea and is bordering Chengde on the northwestern side, Liaoning on the northeastern part and Tangshan on the southwestern part. The city has three developed or highly urbanized areas: Shanhaiguan, Haigang and Beidaihe. The city has humid and continental type of climate and is mainly known for its port called Ching Wang Tao located in the Gulf of Pechili.
As foreign tourist, you can get in this city through the Beijing Capital Airport. There are several and cheap flights to Qinhuangdao via Beijing. From the airport, you will be taking the Inter-Provincial Bus. There are scheduled trips that run on a regular basis and you have to know it before going there. Also, if you do not like to take the bus, you can take the train from Beijing which is operated by the China Railway Corporation. The train that you will take is the Dong trains. The city is relatively small in comparison to other cities of China, but you have to still take the bus in order to get around the city. Since the city is located in the coastal area of the Bohai Sea, one of the best things you can do here is to enjoy a beach vacation and just relax. Other places you can visit for some sightseeing are the Emerald Isle (this is one of the seven marine reserves of the country), the Gold Coast (which is a popular beach area) and Shanhai Guan (which is a place built in the late 1300 by the Ming Dynasty and part of the history of the country).
