The quaint town of Oudtshoorn is situated at the Western Cape territory in South Africa and it is currently the largest municipality in the region of Little Karoo. Originally the area was inhabited by Bushmen, which is evident by the number of rock paintings that can be seen on the caves that surround the Swarberg mountains.
The town of Oudtshoorn is the habitat to the world’s biggest ostrich population. Breeding farms namely the Highgate Ostrich Farm and the Safari Show Farm can be found here.
