The city of Numazu is located at the eastern part of the Shizuoka Prefecture in Japan. The city is situated in the end north of the Izu Peninsula. The city is about 130 kilometers from the western part of Tokyo. From here, you can see Mt. Fuji provided that the day is clear. One of the tourist attractions of Numazu is the abundance of hot springs. The climate is warm with maritime features thanks to the Kuroshio Current. There is a river running in the center of the city known as the Kano River.
Getting here is easy because there are plenty of cheap flights to Numazu available. In order to get into the city of Numazu, you must pass through the Haneda and Narita International Airport if you are a foreigner visiting the city. From there, you will ride a train at the Tokyo Station and you will go down at JR Tokaido Main Line. There are some direct trains of the Tokaido Line departing from the Tokyo Station. If you cannot get that, take the train Atami or the Tokaido Shinkansen Kodama train going to Mishima and transfer to the local train there going to Numazu. If you have Japan Rail Pass you ride is free. You can get around the city by train and by bus.

Visit the Senbonhama (translated to "Thousand Tree Beach") seaside if you want to see the southern part of Japan Alps, Nihondaira or Osezaki. If you want to visit aquariums, go to Awashima Marine Park and Mito Sea Paradise. If you are looking for a place to enjoy the scenery, go to Senbon beach. There is a long dike from Numazu going to Fuji City and you can walk or bike here. Have fun at The House of Nature and from the name itself, you will get to enjoy plenty of outdoor recreational activities here such as camping.
