The city is famous for its old churches, cathedrals and museums and amongst all the churches, Catedral de Murcia is the most notable. The interior is based on Gothic style and the most important part of the cathedral is its 95 meter tall tower which took more than 200 years of time to complete. There is no admission fee.
If you want to experience the religion and history of Murcia, then Museo de la Catedral de Murcia is the ultimate destination. It was built in the fourteenth century and exhibits a broad array of archaeological remains and many religious objects.
However, if you are more interested in history and less in religion, it’s hard to miss Museo Arqueológico de Murcia. There are total 16 rooms in the museum and these rooms preserve artifacts from the Prehistoric to the Bronze Age.

You may have seen it online but to appreciate its true beauty, you must see it face to face.
You can end the city tour by visiting the famous Castillo de Monteagudo. The castle is located on top of a hill and it’s well preserved. While there are many castles in Spain, this one is special for a particular reason. There is an open arm statue of Christ on top of the castle.
