Moroni, the capital city of Grand Comore Island, is also the largest city in Comoros and thus it is heavily populated. This place is commonly dubbed as the ‘core of the fire’ because of its close proximity to Mount Karthala which is one of the very active volcanoes in the region. Like most places in Comoros, the city of Moroni is abundant in natural resources and though a bit neglected, has a sense of timeless beauty.
