History of Transportation Museum

The History of Transportation Museum is part of the Western Development Museums found throughout Saskatchewan, Canada. It is located on Diefenbacker Drive in Moose Jaw. Tunnels of Moose Jaw

You can access the underground tours of the Tunnels of Moose Jaw on Main Street in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. These tunnels were dug nearly one hundred years ago as service tunnels between buildings and the railroad station. Tales are attached to them concerning early Chinese immigrants, boot leg gin, and even the famous Al Capone. Some of the tunnels are block up today, but you can still take one of two interactive underground tours year round.

Burrowing Owl Interpretive Centre

The Burrowing Owl Interpretive Centre is dedicated to preserving one of Canada's native birds, the endangered burrowing owl. The centre is located in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, the heart of the owl's territory. It was opened in 1997; it stays open from 10 to 6 every day during the summer. During the winter months it is staffed by the director on weekdays from 8 to 5 so you should call ahead if you want a tour. The entire facility is free to the public.
