La Chaux-de-Fonds was once the leading watch-making industry town. It is also the birth place of Le Corbusier, the famous architect whose original name was Charles E. Jeanneret Gris. The place consists of ‘Maison Blanche’, the first house designed by the famous architect in 1912.
