About Juba

Juba is not just the largest but also the capital city of South Sudan. This was the country’s capital until the government decided to change it to Ramciel, a city 350 km stretch from Juba. It is under the Central Equatoria, a small state in the country. It has a total population of 372,410 in 2011. This number is huge for its small area but the city is quiet and in order. The city survived a lot of wars. In the early part of the 2000's, the government issued peace and order but just recently, a civil war sprung up. Luckily, this is now being settled. The city is covered with peace and quiet most of the time. There are no more traces of war in the place except with some of the memorabilia that are kept in museums.
