Cheap Flights to Jilin

If you will recall your Chinese History as part of your history class, you can probably recall the place called Manchuria. This is the place where the Manchus reside and who established a dynasty in China, the Qing Dynasty. The city is called Jilin that is bordered by Russia to the eastern side, North Korea in the southeastern side, the province of Heilongjiang in the northeastern side and Liaoning to the southwestern side and finally, Inner Mongolia on the northwestern side. The name of the city is the Manchu term for ‘along the river’, for the Chinese language, the name is synonymous to “auspicious forest”.

You can get in to this northeastern part of China via plane. There are two airports here serving domestic flights and very limited international flights (to Seoul, South Korea and Tokyo, Japan only). If you prefer to stay inside Jilin City, your airport of entry may be the Changchun Longjia International Airport, which is 71 kilometers away. If you want to get cheap flights to Jilin, choose the connecting flights to the major point of entries in the country such as Beijing or Shainhai. You can get around the city as well as the province through the extensive bus and railway system.

Given the current situation, it is not ideal to visit North Korea without any planning first, but you can try and it is indeed accessible from Jilin city.
