Hengshui City does not own plenty of tourist attractions but it doesn’t mean that there is nothing good to see in the city. Though it lacks modern architectures that are usual to other big cities in China this place still enjoys plenty of tourist throughout the year.
Foreign travelers will notice that there are no direct cheap flights to Hengshui but those who want to visit the city can land at the Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport and from there hire a taxi, take the train or rent a car to take you to the city.
Even though there are no cheap flights to Hengshui tourist still take time to go to the city because of its beautiful surrounding, nice weather and welcoming people.
One of the best scenic spots in the city is the Hengshui Lake, where various species of birds like gulls, red cranes, swans, wild goose and pelicans can be found. Part of the lake has been designated as the bird habitat and on the rear part tourists can see the vast lake area and the clear blue sky.
Aside from the lake, the city of Hengshui also has several wonderful sites.
The Zhulin Temple and the Museum of Wuqiang nearby are also worth visiting if you still have a need for more places to visit.
Nightlife in this city is colorful and there are plenty of KTV, bars, restaurants and cinemas that serve both local and tourist. The city also has a night market where a large number of merchandise can be bought for a cheap price especially if you’re good at bargaining. Local delicacies are also great and most food stalls serve delicious budget meals.
One of the cheapest hotels in Hengshui is the Yinhe Hotel located at the Zhanqian East Road. This hotel offers budget accommodation with clean rooms, complete facilities and secured parking area. Other hotels such as Kunlun, Sun Shine, Kaiyue, and Jinshan are also good choices.
