Prince Castle Ruin (Prinsenkasteel) is located to the north of Brussels. It was used for residential purposes by Lords of Grimbergen in the medieval era. The stables and the adjoining farmhouse called Guldendal still remains. The 17th century Guldendal is a brilliant example of Renaissance style architecture and was made of traditional sandstone and bricks. It was previously used as a coach-house by the castle residents but currently it houses some exhibition rooms and the Museum of the Old Techniques.
