The town of Duverge is considered among the biggest Independent provinces in Dominican, the pioneer settlers of this region were two gentlemen called Maria Pulgar and Chris Perez. They were coming from San Maguana and found this place to extremely fertile, thus stirring their desire to make it a permanent home.
