One of the oldest cities in Holland, picturesque Deventer is located in the Overijssel province of Holland on the banks of the river IJssel. A vibrant hub of commerce and industry in the olden days, it still retains its atmosphere of vitality; combined with the its historic ambiance and lovely surroundings, the city is a big attraction for tourists, especially when you have so many cheap flights to Deventer via Amsterdam that is less than a hundred kilometers away.
