About Asti

Established by the Ligurians, the medieval town Asti is located in Italy’s Piedmont region. It is known for it exotic wines and great Italian poet Vittorio Alfieri and writer Isacco Artom were born here. Asti lies in the Tanaro River valley beneath Monferrato hills. The city has witnessed a series of battles and invasions through the ages. Along with its famous wine harvest, the city also serves as a hub for engineering and textile industries.
