Cheap Flights to Asbe Teferi

Asbe Teferi is a woreda in the Amhar Mountains which is in the eastern part of Ethiopia. This is where the government center of Mirab Hararghe Zone is located. It is also called Chiro or Asba Littoria by the locals. Cheap flights to Asbe Teferi are made available via the airport in the Ethiopian capital.

Although not an actual tourist destination, a lot of people come here because of its natural beauty. Although this is considered as a semi desert, the all green, rolling hills and plains make this such a wonderful sight. The Ahmar Mountain, for example, has been mentioned by the famous 1800's explorer Richard Burton in his memoirs. It is quite cold here, day or night, because it is nearly 3,000 meters above sea level. People come here for overnight camping, hiking and/or mountain biking. Most of them just take in the amazing view from the top of the mountain.

Another famous spot in the area is the Kuni Muktar Mountain Nyala Wildlife Sanctuary. This is pretty close to the center of town. One of the rarest antelopes, the mountain nyala, lives here. It was reported to be extinct in the late 90s until they found another one a few years ago – truly big news around the area.

It is quite expensive in the capital city of Addis Ababa that the locals themselves are even complaining about it. But most things in this town are less expensive. The rates of hotels in Asbe Teferi are pretty low at an average of $20. If you want to save more, there are other lodgings where you can stay at for a lower price. Great Ethiopian cuisine in this area only costs $4 a meal or even less. There are expensive restaurants but these may go as high as $20 only. You can travel around on a cab. Its starting fare $0.50.

Cheap flights to Asbe Teferi land in the Bole Airport located in Addis Ababa. Besides the Ethiopian Airlines, Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines also service the country. The capital is about 150 miles away from the center of this woreda.
